Some of you may have already received a promotional brochure from E&O Resources Group to sell you professional liability insurance. This company has nothing to with the DTABC. They are selling a different insurance package and do not offer any other membership benefits. Buyer beware.
As a quick reminder, your DTABC membership includes comprehensive professional liability insurance administered by Sigrid Neumann of Cowan Insurance Group. Our liability insurance is occurrence-based, not a claims-made format. Occurrence-based insurance is more valuable as it responds to claims years later even if your policy has expired. This is not the case with claims-made insurance.
Your DTABC membership also provides discounts on continuing education courses offered or sponsored by DTABC, a discounted rate at the annual Convention, free copies of Dental Technology Today magazine and access to Club DTABC which offers discounts on a range of products and services and other benefits. Membership fees for 2012 will remain the same: $300 plus HST and $85 for liability insurance for a grand total of $421.
Your Board of Directors are working on new initiatives for 2012 which include partnering with the Association of Dental Technologist of Ontario [ADTO] to seek better discounts on benefit programs and educational courses.
