About the DTABC The Dental Technicians Association of British Columbia [DTABC] seeks to promote and advance the profession of dental technology through meaningful relationships and dialogue with other professional agencies, government and the public. We work closely with the College of Dental Technicians of British Columbia and provide affordable liability insurance to our membership so that technicians can be licensed to practice by the College. We are also the professional voice of dental technologists in communication with the BC provincial government. The DTABC will strive to address such key issues as scope of practice and outsourcing so that the industry remains viable and profitable.
The DTA also aims to provide its members with leadership and the means to maintain and advance high standards of skill through continuing education and communication. Education has become a significant underpinning principle in the Association's new strategic plan.
We represent close to 400 dental technicians across British Columbia.
The DTABC hosts an annual convention and trade show that attracts significant numbers of delegates and exhibitors. The convention’s technical program features presentations and hands-on lectures that focus on areas of specialty that will enhance the skills and the practice of dental technology. All courses and lectures are eligible for continuing education credits with the College.
The DTABC also provides members with value added membership benefits that are described in greater detail in this website.
Our Management Team is available to meet the needs of our membership and we are there to serve dental technicians across the province.
